Can you add a grinding head to the same machine?
Hello @cameronmccauley4484, the base machine is a milling machine with an HSK-63 tool holder. So, you can integrate all tools with HSK-63 interface. Also grinding tools.
Your DED and gantry machines are extremely cool to see! Also grinding head attachment is also sweet. We would love to see them shown off more!

DMG MORI has fantastic videos but these machines are like toys. Real good CNC slant bed lathes are from FAT HACO. They have very good professional solutions for advanced and industrial machining.

Which is better, NTX or CTX?

This video shows the basic setup of the machine at our factory in Pfronten. The machine is of course installed at our customers' premises with a fully protected cabin for maximum safety and cleanliness.
I worked on some of the old Mills and lathes left over from WW2. Then on some of the earliest NC MNC & CNC machines , . The to mill / turn centres setting machining in the aerospace industry. This machine with its robot operator is doing my job . I don't mind , I now work supporting people with learning disabilities. Just the smell of a machine shop would make me run !
